Essentially, I’m trying to grow up while remaining a kid, and like many other people, I find it difficult to claim the title “artist.”
I am recently retired from full-time teaching at Tidewater Community College (English and Humanities), earlier than I wanted due to health issues, and am having great fun looking at art, talking about art, and playing with art. While I have been drawing and painting for many years, I finally get to spend more time focusing on them, and I love it!
I find I switch from one medium to another as the whim takes me. These days, I primarily work with oils simply because I love them. However, I also work in acrylics, graphite, colored pencil, and pen and ink.
