Sandy West 

I enjoy observing the beauty that surrounds us every day and I try to capture this in my artwork. The serenity of water with its movement and reflections captivate me so I include it in most of my paintings. My preferred medium is oil paint which allows the fluid mixing of colors. My love of art began early and continued with a degree in painting and printmaking from VCU.

I retired from a career in advertising and marketing and renewed my love of painting. Lifetime learning is a goal and I enjoy the challenge of creating artwork and learning new techniques. I also volunteer with Chesapeake Master Gardeners and Special Olympics. I currently manage and promote the art shows for SAA.
