Rena Harmon 

I have been painting seriously since 1972.  I took private lessons in Acrylics and Pastels.  I studied all other mediums in classes at Tidewater O.D.U.  U Va. and at area recreation centers.  My favorite thing to paint is pastel portraits.  I paint in oils, acrylics, pastels, charcoal and watercolors.  I have had many shows.  Individual as well as group shows.  I have been fortunate enough to win several awards at Juried Art Festivals and Fairs.  I have had paintings and prints  on sale at "old Town Gallery" in Portsmouth and at "Gallery 11" in Virginia Beach.  I was married 55 years before the death of my husband Bob, Oct 28, 2010.  We have four children and 9 grandchildren 9 grandchildren.  My home is in Deep Creek in Chesapeake, Va.I retired from Chesapeake Public Schools in 1999.I joined Southside Artist Association in September 2013.
