Since retiring from the Virginia Department of Health after 42 years, I have had more time to devote to things I enjoy.

 

Through the years, I have attended art classes at Norfolk Botanical Gardens and through the adult continuing education programs in Chesapeake and Virginia Beach public schools. I experimented with 

acylics, oil painting, charcoal, pastels, colored pencils, mixed media, drawing and watercolor painting (just one session).  I like using bright colors and using people and animals I know and photograph as subjects.  

 

I love going to art galleries, art classes and art shows and appreciate having the opportunity to join this association  and meet artists who share my interests.
