Nicole Tadgell is an award-winning  illustrator, whose luminous, expressive illustrations warmly portray childhood life for children of all races. Original watercolor paintings have been exhibited at numerous museums and galleries through New England, where she also taught workshops, classes and made presentations at museums, colleges and conferences. Her work has been featured in The Encyclopedia of Writing and Illustrating Children's Books.

In addition to working remotely for Davis Advertising as Assistant Art Director for over 30 years, she visits classrooms, libraries and bookstores to demonstrate the picture book process. Since her move to Chesapeake in 2020, Nicole continues to enjoy illustrating children’s books with the inspiration of the area’s unique beauty, most notably illustrating Yolanda Renee King’s first picture book titled WE DREAM A WORLD.
