I am an artist and I love the creative process. As an artist I am constantly challenging myself with a variety of mediums to expand my artistic vision. I plunged into working with blown and fused glass when I moved to Hampton Roads in 2005. I took glass blowing classes Tidewater Community College, the Corning Glass Studio in New York and worked as a Studio Assistant at the Chrysler Glass Studio in Norfolk. I have also taken classes in painting and ceramic art at the Visual Art Center, TCC, MOCA in Virginia Beach and Orzo Ceramic Studio in Portsmouth, VA.

I graduated from the Corcoran School of Art and worked as a graphic designer for 25 years in Washington, DC. I’m married to Ben Carl Riley, retired Air Force Band cellist, who is also a visual artist. Together we retired and moved from Washington, DC to Chesapeake, VA. Since then we have pursued our mutual interests in music and art in this area. Ben plays cello with Symphonicity, the Virginia Beach Symphony Orchestra. Now I’m taking oil painting classes and working toward a 2-year degree in Studio Arts at TCC.
